Chosen contestants can play live at the Silverstar Brewing Co on one of the selected contest dates (September 23, 24  from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM). Judges will evaluate all live performances and establish a first-place winner to perform at The Silverstar Brewing Co. on September 26 between 6 and 8 pm.

The first-place winner will also receive an “Artist Brand Consultation” with Jeff Johnson (5 CONSECUTIVE BCCMA PRODUCER OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNER, JUNO NOMINATED POP ALBUM OF THE YEAR, CCMA PRODUCER OF THE YEAR) of Bailey Way Entertainment ($500 value).  

You must comply with the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest Rules within the Contest Period. You must provide your first name, last name, email address, address, phone number, age, band name, band member’s names, and ages, instruments played, and demo song at www.vernonribfest.com/rockintheribfest by Saturday, Aug 31, 2024, at midnight. ***Bands must be available to play on September 22, 23 & 26 2024, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The competition winner must be available to play on September 26 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, for their own 30 – 45 minute performance time slot at the Silverstar Brewing Co.

All submissions will be reviewed after closing (Saturday, August 31, 2024), and the Judge Selections will be announced and posted to the Vernon Ribfest website on Monday, September 2, 2024.

No submissions will be accepted after the above deadlines for any reason. Any entries received after the above deadlines will be void. ***Your Song cannot be modified, changed, or substituted once the Entry Form has been submitted.*** Schedule of Events: • July 29 – Aug 31 Open for submissions online • Aug 31, 2024, at midnight – Close for submissions • Sept 2, 2024 – Bands selected for live performances will be announced on the website. • Sept 22 & 24 – Chosen bands will perform on one of the selected competition dates live at Silverstar Brewing Co., where judging will occur. • September 25, 2024 – Winners ( One Solo and One Band) to be determined and announced • Sept 26, 2024 – The winners will play live on stage at Silverstar Brewing Co. and be presented with a voucher for an “Artist Brand Consultation” with Jeff Johnson at Bailey Way Entertainment. The Winning Solo Artist to Receive a $1000.00 Cheque from the Vernon Ribfest Society, Winning Band to Receive a $2,000.00 Cheque from the Vernon Ribfest Society.
