Volunteering at Vernon Ribfest
Volunteers are the foundation of the Vernon Ribfest and we would love to have your group, club, family, and friends come and help out. We understand that time is a precious commodity and we appreciate you donating yours, to make this festival the best it can be!
One of the greatest benefits of a volunteer driven festival is that it allows for us to contribute to local non profit organizations and groups. Having 200+ volunteer positions filled is what will make the festival a
success!
Volunteer Positions
Do you want to earn community hours, gain work experience, gain leadership experience, or enjoy meeting new people? We need your help (pre, during or post festival). Do you have a current serving it right certificate, first aid certification or a class 4 driving licence? Other positions include parking attendants, kids zone, table clean up, grounds clean up beverage tent assistants, information booth, set up, or take down.
Join us and have a fun filled weekend, volunteers are key to making the Vernon Ribfest successful.

Beverage Tent Helpers
Volunteers will be responsible for assisting the servers with stocking the coolers, clearing tables and ensuring the area stays clean and functioning. Anyone who signs up for this role must have Serving it Right, proof of certificate is required.
Parking
Parking volunteers will be responsible for ensuring that only authorized vehicles are allowed to enter parking lots.
Beverage Tent Server
Servers in the family beer garden area will be responsible for the service of alcohol in the beverage tent. Anyone who signs up to be a server must have Serving it Right, proof of certificate is required.
Set Up
Set Up volunteers will be responsible for assisting the Ribfest committee with setting up the Vernon Ribfest.
Table Clean Up
Table Clean up volunteers are responsible for keeping the main seating area, as well as the adult beverage tent(s) clean and free of garbage and recycling.
Take Down
Take down volunteers will be responsible for assisting the Vernon Ribfest committee with cleaning up Vernon Ribfest site location.
Beverage Tent Assistants
Servers will be responsible for the service of alcohol in the beer garden. Anyone who signs up to be a server must have Serving it Right, proof of certificate is required.
